The two-day workshop on estate planning and long-term care didn’t cost a dime to attend. And the coffee and pastries before the first session were free, too. No wonder an upbeat mood pervaded the auditorium — or it did until 59-year-old Yvonne Amrine took the stage.
Amrine, an attorney who organized the event, began the morning by sharing a photo of her late mother. “She’s the reason I do what I do,” she said, then paused to wipe away the tears rolling down her cheeks. “Whew!
